What's the point of owning a $2-million Shelby Cobra if it never races?


Referred to as a museum springing to life, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is a keystone of the Monterey Peninsula's Classic Car Week. Approximately 550 vehicles are welcomed to participate in the world's leading vintage automobile gathering, according to the automobile's authenticity, race provenance and period authenticity.

The event is part of Monterey Classic Car Week, which runs Aug. 12-18 and culminates with the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the globe's most recognized enthusiast car show. Various other highlights of the week-- a bucket-list item with regard to any type of car enthusiast-- feature high-dollar automobile auctions by business including Gooding & Co. and RM Auctions; the Quail Motorsports event of late-model exotics like Bugatti and McLaren; and Concorso Italiano, an event of primarily Italian automobiles and motorcycles.
